Delete your account and data

Applies to the Medbay Fit apps for iOS and Android · Last updated: 27 September 2026

You can have your Medbay Fit account and the data attached to it erased. There are two ways: delete it yourself from inside the app — which takes effect immediately — or ask us by email. You do not need an account on this website, and you do not need to log in anywhere to read this page.

Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account does not cancel a Medbay Fit Pro subscription, because the subscription is held by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel it in your store settings before you ask us to delete the account, or you will keep being charged. Cancellation steps are here.

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, no grace period restore and no export afterwards. If you want a copy of your data, ask for it before you ask for deletion (see below).

Option 1 — in the app (fastest, and it is immediate)

  1. Open Medbay Fit.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of the Today screen (Bugün) to open your profile.
  3. Tap Settings — the gear icon at the top on iPhone (Ayarlar), or the Goals and settings row on Android (Hedefler ve ayarlar).
  4. Scroll to the bottom, to Danger zone (Tehlikeli bölge), and tap Delete account (Hesabı sil).
  5. Read the list of what will be destroyed, then tap Delete my account permanently.
  6. Confirm once more in the warning dialog.

There is no queue and no review step: the deletion happens there and then, in a single database transaction. Every row listed below is removed, your photos are deleted from storage, and the app resets itself to a first-run state with a brand-new device identifier — so it does not silently reattach you to the account you just deleted.

If the deletion cannot be completed (no connection, server error) the app tells you so and nothing is deleted — you stay signed in and can try again. There is no half-deleted state.

Option 2 — by email

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject Delete my account.

So that we delete the right account and not somebody else's, include:

  • If you signed in with Apple or Google: send the email from the address linked to your account, or tell us which address it is.
  • If you never signed in: your account is tied to an identifier generated on your device and kept only on your device. We have no way to look it up from an email address, so please use the in-app route above — it is the only one that can reach an anonymous account. If you have lost access to the device, write to us anyway and we will explain what we can and cannot do.
  • Optionally, whether you also want the data exported to you first — we will send a machine-readable copy before deleting.

We may ask one verification question before acting. We will confirm in writing once the deletion is done.

How long it takes

StageTiming
In-app deletion — account and data erased from live systemsImmediately, before the confirmation screen closes
Email request — we acknowledge itWithin 2 business days
Email request — account and data erased from live systemsWithin 30 days of a verified request, usually much sooner
Purged from encrypted backupsWithin 90 days

What gets deleted

Everything below is erased, permanently:

  • Account and identity — your account record, the device-generated identifier, any linked Sign in with Apple or Google identifier, your name and email if you gave one, language and time-zone settings, your session tokens and your push notification token.
  • Profile and goals — your onboarding answers, gender, birth year, height, starting, current and target weight, activity level, experience, schedule, equipment, injuries, dietary preference, allergies, focus areas, calorie, macro and water targets, streaks and XP, reminder settings and theme.
  • Body data — every measurement entry: weight, body fat, muscle mass and all eleven circumference measurements, with their notes.
  • Photos — progress photos, body-analysis photos, your community avatar and your post photos, deleted from storage as files, not merely unlinked. (Photos you send for meal recognition are never written to disk in the first place: they are analysed in memory and discarded.)
  • AI body analyses — scores, per-muscle-group results and recommendations.
  • Training — your programs, every workout session with every exercise and every set (weights, reps, RPE), your personal records and your favourite exercises.
  • Nutrition — every food entry, water entry, your diet plans and their meals, and any custom foods you created. (The shared public food catalogue is not yours and stays.)
  • Supplements and protocol logs — schedules, reminders, notes and every taken/not-taken record.
  • AI coach — all chat threads and messages, generation jobs and pending change proposals.
  • Health platform data — everything imported from Apple Health or Health Connect, and the connection record itself. (This also happens immediately, without deleting your account, if you just tap Disconnect — see below.)
  • Community — your public profile, display name, bio, avatar, posts, comments, likes, follows and challenge participation.
  • Badges and progress — earned badges and progress toward unearned ones.

What we delete on our servers we cannot delete on your device or in Apple Health / Health Connect. Records that Medbay Fit wrote into Apple Health or Health Connect belong to your health platform after that point — remove them in the Health app or in Health Connect. Any offline copy the app kept on your phone goes away when you uninstall the app.

What we keep, and for how long

Two narrow things survive a deletion request, because the law requires it. Neither lets anyone look up your training, nutrition, body or health data.

WhatWhyHow long
Transaction and subscription records — transaction and event identifiers, product, date, amount, currency, store country Tax, accounting and audit obligations; chargeback and refund handling. Apple and Google also hold their own copy under their own policies. As long as tax and accounting law requires, typically up to 10 years, reduced to the minimum fields needed
Server and security logs that may contain an IP address or request trace Security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis Short rolling window, normally no more than 90 days

We also keep a minimal record of the deletion request itself — that it was made and when — so we can prove we honoured it.

We keep no moderation history. Blocks and reports are deleted along with everything else — both the ones you made and the ones other people made about you. Two consequences follow, and we would rather state them than hide them:

  • If someone had blocked you, that block disappears with your account. If you create a new account they will have to block you again.
  • Comments other people wrote on your community posts are destroyed together with the post, because the post is gone and a comment cannot outlive it.

Keeping a block or report enforceable across a deletion would mean keeping an identifier for the deleted account, which is exactly what a permanent deletion is supposed to remove.

If you don't want to delete everything

You have smaller options, all of which take effect immediately:

  • Disconnect Apple Health / Health Connect. Profile picture (top right) → Settings → Apple Health (or Health Connect) → Disconnect. Stops syncing and deletes the records imported from the platform (on iPhone you can choose to keep them instead). What you typed in yourself stays.
  • Leave the community. Switch your profile back to private and your posts stop being visible; delete individual posts and comments to remove them outright.
  • Delete individual entries. Any measurement, workout, food entry, water entry, supplement, protocol log or chat thread can be deleted on its own from inside the app.
  • Turn off notifications. Revoke notification permission in your device settings, or turn individual reminders off in the app.
  • Request a copy of your data instead of deleting it: email [email protected].

Your rights

Deletion is one of several rights you have — alongside access, correction, portability, restriction, objection and withdrawing consent. They are all set out in the Privacy Policy, together with the full list of what we collect and who processes it. We never charge for a deletion request and we will not treat you differently for making one.
